Genitrix sponsors first rabbit and tortoise CPD day at Bristol Zoo

TortoisePlaces are still available on a prestigious CPD course that combines advanced techniques in rabbit medicine with the basics of tortoise treatment. This special event is scheduled for Monday 16 March 2009 at Bristol Zoo Gardens.

The course is sponsored by specialist veterinary therapies provider, Genitrix, and led by eminent tutors, Sharon Redrobe, Richard Saunders and Rowena Killick. It will count as five CPD hours.

Rabbit topics will include abscess treatment, including dental extraction techniques, and an overview of neurological conditions, including current thinking on Encephalitizoon cuniculi. For tortoises, a case-based approach to post-hibernation anorexia, diagnosis and treatment will be provided.

The course will finish with a case-based discussion session, following which delegates will have the opportunity to tour the Bristol Zoo reptile house.

The fee for the full day course, including refreshments, is £150.
